JOB OBJECTIVES: The Marketing Manager of Digital Distribution oversees the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for PBSd content on EST, SVOD, and OTT platforms, as well as the analysis of those campaigns. Driving subscriber acquisition to PBSd’s Amazon Channels and future OTT services is one of this position’s primary objectives. This role works closely with all members of the Digital Distribution team and PBSd’s Marketing team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct sales analysis for all digital business models to inform digital strategy decisions, with a focus on subscriber acquisition for PBSd’s Amazon Channels. Develop OTT media buy recommendations in conjunction with PBSd Marketing. Collaborate with PBSd Marketing on creative and messaging for cross-channel buys. Manage all social media activity for the Digital Distribution team, including creation of posts and coordinating with appropriate PBS and PBSd parties. Oversee creation of all marketing materials and creative assets for digital releases across all distribution partners, including banners, trailers, clips and sales collateral. Manage EST link integration on PBS digital platforms (web, mobile, OTT apps). Serve as primary digital contact with PBS producers, in conjunction with Acquisitions team. Serve as liaison with PBSd Marketing team, as well as PBS Digital and Marketing groups.
WORK EXPERIENCE: 5 years of digital agency or entertainment industry experience. Experience with direct marketing, online customer acquisition, and/or media buying. Proven track record of effectively managing and reporting on detail-oriented projects. Experience interfacing with clients and vendors.
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in related field
