Position Overview: The Marketing and Proposal Coordinator will work in our D.C. Office, working closely with the Marketing Director, Executive and Senior Leadership Team to assist with the development of new business proposals and business development materials. This full-time position will report to a senior-level manager.
Responsibilities: • Provide support for business development initiatives with developing pitches, presentations and ad-hoc marketing collateral • Identify and research business development opportunities through different marketing channels, such as social media and associations • Organize and prepare new business proposals and business development materials while adhering to firm’s templates and procedures • Respond to, prepare, and manage request for proposals, qualification packages, and questionnaires • Collaborate with all team members to assist and improve the business development processes • Data entry into Outlook company contacts and CRM system (Salesforce) • Participate in related industry society associations • Assist with event involvement for conferences, conventions, lunch-n-learns, and other meetings as needed • On occasion, may require additional hours to meet deadlines • Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, positivity, creativity, flexibility, and a high degree of professionalism • Experience working in a professional services environment, government agency or Hill preferred • Strong organizational, time and project management skills, able to handle many tasks/project simultaneously • Excellent oral communication, business writing and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail • Ability to meet and/or exceed deadlines and respond to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands • Advanced skills in the latest version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign required; must include use of styles and formatting • Strong commitment to teamwork, able to establish effective working relationships across regions, practices, and Firm lines Knowledge and experience working in Salesforce or similar CRM-based system preferred • Strong focus on internal client service and responsiveness
