As the Marketing Communications Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing on all communications and public awareness efforts for Berkshire’s consulting services and the growth of their SaaS business. You will help elevate and broadcast our brand story by executing a communications strategy that gets attention, makes us memorable, and gains B2B name recognition.
The Marketing Communications Specialist will have the confidence and assertiveness to work across all levels, and lead projects that expand our presence and promote our message. You will also have experience in building communications plans, generating publicity in the B2B space, and have awesome written and verbal communications skills. Your persuasive communication style will draw customers and support sales growth. The right fit will have a curious, creative spirit, a knack for engaging people, and the drive to get things done.
What You'll Do:
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to raise company’s profile and strengthen reputation among the business community
Translate company strategy into compelling messages to drive the company’s “brand” in key markets
Lead media relations and communications for key events in targeted industries
Oversee company’s annual content calendar and ensure content is aligned with objectives
Create B2B content for new product releases, website, and collateral material
Create content that drives blog subscriptions and social followers
Assist staff in writing of presentations, fact sheets, brochures, and other communications materials
Strategically identify speaking opportunities at local and national conferences
Pitch media outlets, including social influencers, to generate awareness
Seek and coordinate award submissions aligned with objectives
Drive video development used in promotions
Secure and disseminate testimonials from satisfied clients
Recommend and coordinate the company’s presence at tradeshows and other marketing events.
Develop webinars and unique speaking topics
Research and develop copy for all communications projects
Monitor message pull-through and measure message effectiveness and impact
Manage external vendors, including agency resources where applicable
4+ yrs experience in a Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
Subject matter expertise in branding and communications
Strong creative and persuasive writing skills
Ability to work effectively across departments and functions
Experience in the B2B marketing space highly preferred
Experience with a marketing automation system, HubSpot preferred
Familiarity with CRMs, preferably Salesforce
Ability to independently execute and manage campaigns
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Highly analytical - knowing how to measure program effectiveness from start to finish
Ability to balance strategic initiatives and hands-on implementation of communications programs
